Dogwood Dish Set

My grandparents were married in 1957 and my grandfather gave these dishes to my grandmother as a wedding gift.  Recently she decided to give them to me.  There are only 4 dishes remaining in the set.  I wanted them to have a special place in my home, so I picked up some dish hangers and hung them in my kitchen.

This past Monday I made a trip to Value Thrift.  It was 99 cent day on clothes and I made out like a bandit.  Check out what I got!        

The Wise Handbook of Knitting and Crocheting

A few years ago my brother gifted me a few vintage knitting books.  I recently started a project from one of those books.  The book is "The Wise Handbook of Knitting and Crocheting."  It was published in 1949.

I decided to try my hand at the "Two Needle Gloves" pattern.  This is my first attempt at knitting gloves.  Wish me luck!

My husband and I picked up this awesome Mid-Century Modern table for around $65.  It needs a little tlc , but we love it!

Sewing Room Ideas

I am bringing thrifting to a halt for a while.  I am making an effort to get organized at home.  I have an office/sewing/exercise room that needs some much needed attention.  I have been looking for inexpensive ways to organize and decorate this room.  I am determined to use things I already have and try to re-purpose as much as possible.  Here are a few ideas I hope to incorporate into the space.
